The Challenge: Bridging Continents from a Single Room

UMST University's Rwanda campus serves as a core academic hub connecting faculty, alumni, and global research partners across multiple countries. The 20+ seat administrative boardroom undertakes diverse critical scenarios, ranging from daily staff meetings and academic seminars to high-profile cross-border video conferences such as the Alumni Impact series.

Traditional separated audio-video equipment relied on independent projectors, external speakers and scattered peripheral devices, requiring professional IT debugging and repeated wiring arrangement before each meeting. Frequent signal errors, sound anomalies and cumbersome pre-meeting preparation seriously reduced meeting efficiency and created obvious barriers for smooth cross-border academic communication.

The university urgently needed a stable, simplified and low-energy smart conference LED solution to eliminate technical friction and support high-standard international exchanges.

The Solution: One Surface, Six Integrated Systems

QSTECH customized a 138-inch P1.56 SMD X Wall V3 all-in-one LED display with a mobile floor stand for UMST University Rwanda. It integrates six core functional systems into one sleek device: professional display, high-power audio amplification, intelligent control, Wi-Fi 6 wireless casting, multi-point interactive touch, and dual operating systems.

This highly integrated design completely overturns the traditional fragmented conference setup. Faculty can complete one-tap wireless screen casting via Wi-Fi 6 within 3 seconds. The built-in 120W six-cavity speaker array delivers uniform sound coverage up to 20 meters, allowing speakers to communicate with natural volume without auxiliary audio equipment. Four high-sensitivity array microphones capture ultra-clear sound, ensuring lossless audio interaction for remote overseas participants.

The all-in-one structure eliminates redundant soundbars, tangled HDMI cables and frequent IT debugging, realizing truly zero-setup and instant-start smart meetings.

Real-World Impact: From Alumni Events to Daily Operations

The deployment serves two distinct modes visible in the project documentation:

Formal International Academic Events

During the high-standard UMST Alumni Impact global exchange program, the 138-inch large-size display presents remote guest speakers in real-life proportion. The professional P1.56 pixel pitch delivers ultra-fine picture details and natural color restoration, clearly restoring facial expressions and presentation content. On-site faculty can interact with overseas scholars naturally, greatly narrowing the sense of distance of cross-border online conferences and improving the quality of international academic exchanges.

Daily Office & Meeting Scenarios

Equipped with independent Android 13.0 and Windows OPS dual systems, the X Wall V3 LED screen supports flexible switching of diverse functions. The Windows system natively adapts to all mainstream video conferencing and office software, while the Android system independently undertakes campus notice display, meeting schedule publicity and daily signage playback. The dual-system collaborative operation completely saves external PC equipment and eliminates desktop cable chaos, realizing standardized and efficient daily office operation.

Why Mobile Installation Matters in Rwanda

The stand-mounted configuration was a deliberate choice. UMST's Rwanda campus is still evolving — rooms may be reconfigured, new buildings added. A wall-mounted display would require demolition to relocate. The X Wall V3 on its stand can follow the institution's growth without structural modification.

Standby power consumption of 0.5W acknowledges local energy realities. When the room is empty, the screen draws virtually nothing from the grid.

Conclusion

This UMST University Rwanda conference room renovation fully proves that the X Wall V3 all-in-one LED displayis the ideal smart meeting solution for African educational institutions. Its highly integrated 6-in-1 design eliminates 80% of traditional external equipment, simplifying complex pre-meeting debugging into one-click wireless operation. The flexible mobile installation structure adapts to dynamic campus planning, while ultra-low standby power consumption fits local energy-saving demands.

As a high-performance all-in-one LED display for Africa, it delivers stable, efficient and cost-effective audio-visual display capabilities for university boardrooms, academic exchange centers and administrative office scenarios. This project provides a mature and replicable digital transformation template for global educational institutions, helping traditional campus conference spaces upgrade to intelligent, efficient and modern smart office systems.
