How does a studio LED backdrop differ from an LED virtual production stage?
A conventional backdrop mainly plays prepared visuals. Virtual production can combine real-time rendering, camera tracking and synchronization so the scene changes with the camera. The required display and system configuration follows the production workflow.
How can moiré be reduced when filming an LED background?
Moiré comes from interaction between the LED pixel pattern and the camera's sampling grid. Test the actual camera and lens, adjusting distance, focal length, focus and angle alongside pixel pitch and shot planning.
Does a higher refresh rate guarantee a band-free camera image?
Refresh rate is one factor. Scanning, driver settings, camera shutter, frame rate, brightness and synchronization also affect the image. Test the full camera and display setup rather than relying on one specification.
